Florida's Space Coast

From Gatorland we drove an hour to Florida's so-called 'Space Coast', on the Atlantic Ocean.

Kennedy Space Center was one of the places America's space program began, & it was the launch site for all the Space Shuttle missions.

Today the Visitor Center is home to one of the original Space Shuttles, as well as many other exhibits about NASA.

There was a satellite rocket launch planned for today so we joined the crowds waiting at the space center but sadly it was cancelled after several delays.

Tonight's dinner was in a 'seafood shack' by the water.  A great way to end our afternoon on the coast.

Tomorrow we swim with Manatees & visit the University of Florida.
